How can I find and reserve a hotel?
86hotels.com provides you with more than 500 hotels that spread every corner of China. It is just simple clicks when you visit our webpage to search for a hotel you want. You may enter the city, the check-in and check-out dates you intend to stay if you are not sure which hotel can meet your needs. By entering the star rating, the location or the price, you can find a suitable hotel faster. Or you may enter the brand or the name of the hotel if you aleady have had a tended one in mind.

A Hotels Booking Form is supposed to be submitted in case that you have chosen a hotel. Find the form by clicking Reserve, enter as much information as possible that is required on the form, check it, confirm it and submit it. Your enquiry will be replied within 24 hours.

86hotels.com offers two reservation manners,Prepayment and Pay at hotel reception. The former refers to the price applied when you pay us for the hotel cost before you check in the hotel. The latter refers to the price applied when you pay the hotel for the cost the moment that you check out at the reception desk.

The latter manner is not applied to all the hotels on the webpage. Between the two manners, Prepayment is recommended if you are not in an emergent need of making a last-minute or rush reservation, for you can enjoy a much lower price.
Can I make a reservation directly through the hotel?
Hotels in China accept reservations on the phone or by e-mail. We like to suggest you make the reservation through us, because
a. you can enjoy a much lower price which you can never find in the hotel rack rates ;
b. you can easily reserve hotels in more than one city;
c. we provide 24-hour service;
How do I make a reservation for someone else?
The reservation can be made for the party that either includes you or not. If it is for the party which you are not in, please do enter your name,e-mail and phone number in the item Others on the Hotels Booking Form. This is the only difference
What is the essential information that I need to reserve more than one room?
One guest’s name, at least, is required for reserving one room. In the event that two or more rooms are to be reserved, corresponding number of names are necessary.
What is the most suitable time to reseve a hotel?
Hotels are able to be reserved from 6 months in advance to a few hours before your possible check-in time. Feel free to contact us when you need to make reservations, but we highly recommend you to do it one month earlier if you are going to reserve the hotel during the Spring Festival, the Labours’ Day holiday, the National Day holiday or the Guangzhou Trade fairs (April 14-30; October 14-31)
Can I specify the room I like (preferred floor, smoking or non-smoking, ect.)
Certainly you can! The Hotels Booking Form lists room types, possible arrival time, smoking or non-smoking for you to choose. Further special requests are also welcome as long as you fill them out in item Special Requests at the bottom of the form. Though we are not able to guarantee that your demands are always met, but we promise that we will do our best to help you with them.
What if rooms of the hotel that I chose are not available?
We will reserve the hotel according to your enquiry as soon as we receive the form you submitted. The reservation status will reach you within 24 hours through the way you prefer. If rooms of the hotel that you chose are not available, we will provide you with several similar options and exert our every effort to help you till a satisfactory one is found.
I don’t want to make a reservation online. What can I do?
The internet may not always be accessed due to many causes. You can also contact us, besides the Internet, by fax or telephone.

Can I reserve a hotel that is not covered by your webpage?
The answer is Definitely Yes. When the hotel you want is unable to be found on our web or hotels we provide can’t meet your needs, please write to reservation@86hotels.com.com and let us know your wishes.
How do I make the reservations of more than one hotel?
One Hotels Booking Form serves the reservation of only one hotel. In the event that you want to make a succession of reservations, please follow the procedures below:

- Find the Hotels Booking Form, finish filling it out, including the hotel and your personal information, and click Booking at the bottom of the form;
Check the completed form and click Confirm and Continue for Another Booking
to return to the homepage to search for the next hotel;
- Find it and click Reserve to enter a new Hotels Booking Form with your personal information already completed;
- Fill out the hotel information only and click Booking to finish the second form.

The above procedures can be repeated twice. With the personal information maintained on the form, it becomes simple, convenient and time-saving to successively reserve hotels.

One Hotels Booking Form that you submit is regarded as one reservation.

When will my reservation be confirmed?
Your enquiry is dealt with as soon as we receive it. Once the hotel confirms with us the reservation, we will inform you the confirmation. It takes 6-24 hours.
How do I know if my hotel reservation is confirmed?
The confirmation of the reservation will reach you through the way that you chose on the Hotels Booking Form. For emergent enquiries, we contact you on the phone. After receiving the confiramtion, you can make a phone call to the hotel to check the reservation by using your name/names.
Do I need to confirm my reservation with the hotel directly?
One of the advantages of reserving hotels through us is to save your time and trouble but make your wishes come true. We guarantee that our confirmation that reaches you by e-mail, fax or on the phone is valid. You don’t need to confirm the reservation yourself with the hotel. Of course, you can call the hotel reception desk to check it by using your name/names.
Some hotels request that we wait to submit guest names until 7 days prior to check in. In such a case, your hotel room is reserved, but your name is not yet on file with the hotel.
What is the difference between the two discount prices, the price of prepayment and the one of paying at the hotel reception desk?
86hotels.com offers two reservation manners which respectively correspond to two discount prices, the price for prepayment and the price for paying at hotel reception when you checking out. (See Question 1, Reservation)

The latter price is not applied to all the hotels on the webpage.Because most of the hotels that sign up with us accept the prepayment.Choose either of them that you like and is convenient for you if they all provided on the webpage,.Between the two manners,prepayment is recommended if you are not in an emergent need of making a last-minute or rush reservation, for you can enjoy a much lower price.

In case that the price for paying at hotel reception when you checking out is not provided on the webpage and that it is inconvenient for you to prepay due to the failure in access to the bank or fax machine, we can still reserve the hotel for you in the manner of paying at hotel reception when you checking out, but the price will be higher.
How do I pay for the hotel cost?
We accept the prepayment :
a. by credit card (Visa or Master cards) -- preferred way of payment, fast and safe;
b. by wire transfer - some people do not like to use credit card;
c. by cash - when necessary.

If you choose to pay the hotel when you check out at the reception desk, you can pay in any way that the hotel accepts.
Are taxes and breakfast included in the price?
All the taxes, such as the government tax, the city construction fee and service charges, are included in the price listed in the column Prepayment for most of hotels in China EXCEPT the construction fee of Beijing (0.7$ per night per person) which should be paid in cash at the reception desk.

In the price table, the column Breakfast included will show you whether the room rate includes breakfast. for example:
a."--" : Means the listed price does not include any breakfast;
b."YES(At most BB)": Means the listed price includes at most two persons’ American breakfast or Western-Chinese buffet      breakfast;
c."0ne Chinese breakfast": Means the listed price includes only one person’s Chinese breakfast.

The Extra Beds Rate does not include any taxed either breakfast.

For additional breakfast that is not covered by the listed price, we like to suggest that you directly book with and pay the hotel. If so, you may get the same price as we offer. Furthermore, you may have more choices of the breakfast styles.
When will I be charged or, in other words, when shall I pay you?
The time of payment only matters when you choose the Prepayment. (See Question 1, Reservation)
People who reserve and get confirmed 30 days prior to the check-in date don’t need to pay any cost until 25 day ahead of the check-in date.
People who reserve and get confirmed within 30 days prior to the check-in date need to pay the full cost to firmly keep the reservation.
- Prepay with credit cards: The card information is supposed to be provided by you within three working days as of the date when the confirmation reaches you or is sent by e-mail or fax. The cost is charged to your card after we receive your card details within 30 days prior to the check-in date ;
- Prepay by wire transfer: The transfer receipt or stub is supposed to be faxed to us within three working days as of the date when you receive the confirmation.
- Prepay in cash: Cashes are supposed to be handed in person to the CITS Guilin office within three working days as of the date when you receive the confirmation.
Should the above requests not be fulfilled and should any notices or words not be heard from you, your reservation is to be cancelled automatically.

When you choose the Payment :Pay at hotel receptiont (See Question 1, Reservation), we are not to charge you any cost, but we need you credit card information like credit care number, expiry date, card holder as a guarantee.
Why the actual payment that has been taken away from my credit card differs slightly from the original quotation in US$
For the convenience of our clients, CITS,Guilin quotes in US$ in stead of in RMB. Due to the different exchange rates from each other countries or even from different banks, you may find that the actual payment that has been taken away from your credit card differs slightly from the original quotation in US$. Based on our experience, the difference may range from 1% to 3% higher or lower than the original quotes in US$. CITS,Guilin never charges anything more than what they have quoted to clients.

Clients who make payment by wire transfer or company check will pay exactly amount of what CITS,Guilin has quoted in US$.

What is the cancellation policy?
1. What is the cancellation policy?
We very much regret that you are to cancel your hotel reservation. We understand you have the fair reasons behind your decision. Your refund, minus the cancellation fee, will be refundde to your account within a month as of the date we receive your written cancellation request.
The cancellation fee can be calculated as follows:

If prepay:
no less than 15days before the check-in date: no penalty;
within 14 to 7 days before the check-in date: 15.00$
within 7 to 3 days before the check-in date: 70% of the full payment;
within 2 to 0 days before the check-in date: 100% of the full payment.
If paying at hotel reception when checking out:
no less than 3 days before the check-in date: no penalty;
within 2 to 0 days before the check-in date: 100% of the full price.

At all events, your cancellation fee will be less than or equal to your full payment. No-show guests will be charged 100% of the full payment.

What is the alteration policy?
After you receive the confirmation and you want to make changes to another hotel, the alteration fee can be calculated as follows:

If prepay:
no less than 15 days before the check-in date: no charges;
within 14 to 8 days before the check-in date: 8.00$;
within 7 to 3 days before the check-in date: 30% of the full payment;
within 2 to 0 days before the check-in date: 100% of the full payment.
If paying at hotel reception when checking out:
no less than 3 days before the check-in date: no charges;
within 2 to 0 days before the check-in date: 100% of the full price.
How do I cancel or alter my confirmed reservation?
When you want to cancel or alter the reservation, written requests by e-mail or fax are asked for. In case that you are not able to access the Internet or the fax machine in time, you can do the cancellation or the alteration on the phone and send us the written requests within the next three working days.

Are there any special price policies catering to children?
According to the international guild regulations of hotel business, people younger than 18 years old are defined as children. Price policies to them are:
No charge for children under 12 years who share the same room with parents without extra bed;
Children with extra bed: the cost of the extra bed listed on the web is charged & breakfast is charged additionally upon requirement;
Children occupying a bed: the price is the same as the adult’s.
Are my credit card details and my personal information safe after I give them to you?
At 86hotels.com it is our mission to provide you with a worry-free reservation in China. To make reservations we must collect some personal information from. The information that you submit to us by completing a web-form, by mail, telephone, fax, e-mail or any other means, is only used to arrange your hotel reservation in China. To ensure the security and confidentiality of your personal data, it is never sold, rented, shared or passed on to any un-authorized third-party.
How do I get to the hotel?
For every hotel on the 86hotels.com, we offer the hotel address and phone number in details. Besides the above two, an e-map is also provided for you to locate the hotel quickly with the help of some symbolic buildings nearby.
What is the check-in and check-out time?
You are supposed to check in after 2pm and check out before 12 at noon. If you need to make an earlier check-in or later check-out, please let us know as early as possible. Usually the hotel will charge the extra cost, but we will try to help you get the service free of charge.
What is the earliest and the latest arrival time?
The earliest and the latest arrival time is the approximate time when you plan to check in the hotel. This time can be decided by you according to your travel plan but it is very essential and important. The reservation made in manner of Pay at hotel reception will be automatically canceled if you do not show up before 6pm and three is not any notification indicating when you will arrive. Therefore, it is important for you to offer your arrival flight/bus information and your credit card information as a guarantee.
